Wakefield Youth Hockey is hosting a four week Girls Learn to Play Program sponsored by the Boston Bruins.

Program Highlights

• This is for Girls ages 5-10 as of January 1st, 2023
   
• Children are not eligible if they are on a Hockey team or have previous participated in Bruins LTP
   
• Cost is $180 for the equipment and this includes professional fitting at Pure Hockey locations(Burlington, Peabody and Medford)
   
• This program will run Saturday mornings at Hockeytown USA on March 18th, 25th, April 1st and 8th
   
• The program will be staffed by registered and certified USA Hockey coaches with supplemental help from Boys and Girls from the Wakefield High School Hockey teams
   
• We can only accept the first 50 kids registered on the Boston Bruins Registration page.

Charlie Kirk and Donald MacKay started it all back in 1946 with a handful of boys, and it has now grown to the program you see today. The children of Wakefield can thank these dedicated men for starting it all.

The Wakefield Youth Skating Association (WYSA) as it is know today was organized in 1969.
